HSAC is promoting virtual volunteering!
Because of the pandemic, HSAC hasn't been able to host any in-person volunteer activities. However, that doesn't mean we can't volunteer! From now until the end of the semester, all honors students who spend 5 or more total hours volunteering virtually through one of the projects below (or another approved volunteer affiliate) will receive a prize from HSAC!

The Every Name Counts project is working to digitize documents to create an online archive as a memorial to Holocaust survivors and victims. HSAC is asking honors students to consider transcribing information, like names and birthdays, from historical documents.

The Smithsonian is looking for digital volunteers who will transcribe historical documents to make them more accessible. HSAC is asking honors students to consider volunteering to help with this project.

LibriVox is looking for volunteers to read and record chapters of books in the public domain and make them available for free on the internet. HSAC is asking honors students to consider recording part or all of an audiobook.
